Wesley C. Bartlett Jr

Wesley C. Bartlett Jr., 87, died October 13, 2009 at his home with his family. He was born in West Tremont, August 14, 1922 the son of Wesley C. and Evelyn (Ober) Bartlett, Sr.

He enlisted in the US Navy in 1942 and served as a Gunners Mate Third Class during WW II until 1945. He was married to Hildred Clark for 46 years until her death in 1989. Together they had seven children. He was a member of the North Blue Hill Grange. He was a talented carpenter and later worked for Francis T. Nichols until his retirement. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed lobstering and ice fishing. He loved his family and being with them.

He is survived by his children, Ann Sartain, Marie Farrington, Linda Bartlett, Bunny DeBloise, June Hunter-Anderson, Wesley C. Bartlett III, and Emily Bolton; 6 grandsons, 11 granddaughters, 11 great-grandsons, 8 great-grand-daughters, and 1 great-great-grandson. He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and those who knew him well. He was predeceased by his 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

At his request there will be no services.
