Bar Harbor -- Mehri Haghkerdar (born Mehri Foomani), 84, Died August 16, 2018 at the MDI hospital.

She was a strong and resilient mother and grandmother who prioritized her family above all else. Mehri is survived by her beloved husband, Akbar Haghkerdar, as well as her four sons & respective daughters-in-law: Kaveh Haghkerdar & Liz McMullan; Dr. Fereydoun Haghkerdar; and Dr. Kiafar Haghkerdar & Shadi Bakhtiari. She is also survived by her grandson & granddaughter-in-law, Michael Haghkerdar & Dr. Saghar Bagheri; and her granddaughter & grandson-in-law, Jessica Haghkerdar & Jack McLachlan, as well as Lila Piel and Jennifer Bassett.

In celebration of her life, the following events are scheduled for Saturday, September 22nd on the MDI: 3:00 pm Burial Service at Seal Harbor Cemetery on Jordan Pond Rd, Seal Harbor, followed by a 5:00 pm reception at the Seal Cove Auto Museum, 1414 Tremont Rd, Seal Cove, ME 04674.
