Obituary for JoAnn C. Cantwell (Curtis)
JoAnn C. Cantwell, 88, died January 4, 2018 in Bar Harbor. She was born May 31, 1929 in Trenton, the daughter of Warren P. and Agnes (Marshall) Curtis.
She is survived by two daughters; Alicia Mellow and husband, Victor of Greenville, SC. and Agnes Anderson of Sanford, ME. One brother, Rodney Curtis and wife, Ann of Phoenix, AZ., one sister, Althea Higgins and husband, Peter of Madison, CT., nine grandchildren; Christopher Sawyer, Jennifer (Sawyer) Richardson, Heather (Sawyer) Bogolyubova, Carrie (Mellow) Larson, Cristin (Mellow) Davis, Timothy Anderson, Kathleen (Anderson) Cote, Sarah Anderson, and Patrick Anderson. Twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, many nieces and nephews.
JoAnn was predeceased by her husband, James Cantwell, daughter, Marcia Sawyer, sister, Jean Frost and brother, Michael Curtis.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and residents of Sonogee for taking such good of JoAnn.
Graveside services will be held, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bar Harbor.
Contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd, Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
