Condolence: Diane and other friends, I knew Ernie from childhood in Merrimac, Massachusetts, but lost touch when we were adults. He found me and reached out several years ago, and we had a wonderful cross-country phone conversation, catching up on the news of many years. I was so happy to see him with you, Diane, a couple of summers ago when I was in the Bar Harbor area. I send my condolences to all who knew and loved him. He was a very special person, a gifted artist and a warm, gentle, and loving man. I am saddened by our loss. Jane Ferguson
